The National Society of Financial Educators (NSFE) is a network of educators dedicated to helping pre-retirees improve their lives through comprehensive personal finance education. Local course instructors provide an integrated view of vital components of retirement planning through the NSFE flagship course The Changing World of Retirement Planning®. The course is taught on university and college campuses nationwide to enable increased awareness of financial issues and allow pre-retirees to make more informed decisions about their retirement. Members of NSFE may also be members of SOFA.
Founded in 1993, The Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA) is a 501(c)(3) non profit public benefit corporation. SOFA's mission is to provide financial education across America, one community at a time. SOFA Membership is comprised of professionals with varying specialties throughout the nation, and includes Financial Advisors, Estate Planning Attorneys, Insurance Professionals, Accountants, Realtors, Mortgage Brokers, Credit Counselors, and Health and Wellness Practitioners who provide valuable services to their communities. One of the ways they do that is through informational workshops and courses that are presented to individuals, companies, and organizations.
